This will allow you to have full control over the device, which includes adjusting speed, enabling the spindle, and monitoring its performance. For customers that would prefer an analog/discrete solution, the unit accepts analog +/- 10V signal to control the spindle speed. Then, 24VDC signals are used for the “enable” and the “ready to operate”. However, if total adjustability of the spindle speed is not required, 24VDC inputs can be configured to change the spindle’s rpm to preset values.
Alternatively, we have a turn-key UL certified EthernetIP panel. The SMFBCON comes with the amplifier integrated into an electrical enclosure so the only connections required are 3-phase 480VAC power, the safety inputs/outputs, and a single Ethernet connection back to a robot or PLC. This packaged solution is our most complete controls offering to ensure a streamlined deployment.
